Friday trip's was a fruitful one; just that what we bought was not cyn's goodies but our own stuffs. Ya,I've again spend $$$ again. Just couldn't resist of buying those cute pretty accessories. If those stuff are the things you like and you think is worth the value, why not right? I guess I've became a Shopping Queen. You can't blame me coz I just love shopping. Going street after street just doesn't exhaust me sometimes.
Anyway, one of the motive of Friday's trip was to buy the famous "Lin Zhi Yuan's Ba Gwa". Dearie said we would definitely have to queue for it and I didn't take it for real initially. But it was really a long queue there. In order not to waste time in queuing up just to buy this, we've give it a miss. After lots squeezing, sweating and unwanted of body contacts, Mummy managed to buy a packet of crackers. Yea yea, only this packet coz the stuffs she wanted were either sold out or not sold there. Wondering why...Actually, we could buy some other cookies but it seems like the taste was not as good after trying out some of their samples. Aren't we picky huh? Yes...I thinks we are. Since we've come so far to here, I think we must get something nice, something worth.
Dearie's bag was heavy that day as he came to meet us after he has booked out. Having to squeeze through the crowd was definitely not a simple task and not to say protecting me in that pack area huh. But I think he's certainly did a great job. *v*
With some dissatisfaction of not buying what we wanted, eventually we should reach home around 12am. But we were not. What have infuriated us were those money-faced cab drivers. They are selfish & greedy people. They could just waste their 1/2 hour time, having their cabbies empty and waited for 12am. Leaving those miserable passengers like us to wait anxiously on the side of the path. And the worst part, my sister was working midnight shift so she was getting fed-up and worried after so many tries of calling several company's booking hotlines. They are either all engaged or no one pick up the phone. No further choices, she called up a cab driver which she knew the day before. As she has owned him $3 cab fare for which she doesn't have enough cash with her the other day. However, that driver was at Simei area, thus, he took another 15 minutes before picking us up. In the end, my sister was late by 15 minutes all thanks to those money-faced cab drivers.
On Saturday, Dearie suggested to go Chinatown again for "Lin Zhi Yuan's Ba Gwa". Since we've reached there quite late on Friday's evening, maybe if we go early, chances of buying it will be higher. We are so "lucky" that the Ba Gwa was Sold Out!!! It was only 8pm and yet it sold out. However, only remained the round ones named as "Gold Coin" thus we decided to buy that instead, better than nothing right, since we've not try it before. After that, we are so "lucky" again, the rain started to pour heavily before we even stepped into the Chinatown bazaar. The place was poorly sheltered for raining weather; some areas are even flooded with low level of water which nearly spoiled my heels. -_- Then, we decided to shop around the People's Park and some other bazaar near the building there. Has managed to buy some tasty cookies on the way too :) We then began our round of squeezing and sweating through the crowds for more goodies which we might have missed it on Friday. And finally and happily, we’ve bought those goodies we wanted. Went home with loads of heavy shopping bags, but it was Dearie who carried them. Heeez...Thanks Dearie! I've a fun and memorable trip with you.
